Updates have been few and far-between outside of twitter, but a few things are noteworthy:
Things on Heroes of Zulula M.O.A.R. have been moving a bit slower than expected, but the results so far and pretty sweet! The 8bitfunding campaign wasn't a huge success but it coincided with Unity releasing the Android and iOS plugin versions for free, so it became unnecessary. For a little while it looked like I was going to get some help making the game, but that didn't work out. And something else came about (more on that below) which basically pushes the release of Heroes of Zulula M.O.A.R. to this winter.
The original Heroes of Zulula is doing rather well on the Play store. More now than ever, actually. Updates to that game have been very few, unfortunately. There is one coming soon to address a few issues, but the bulk of the work is being invested in M.O.A.R. and a new, unannounced title. A new update should be pushed to market this week, it addresses a few issues.
In July I participated in a month-long game jam organized by the Mount Royal Gaming Society with a friend, all the while working on Heroes of Zulula. When we looked at the prototype and the reaction from showing it to people, we decided it would be silly not to bring this to market ASAP. So even M.O.A.R. is being put aside, but only for another month or so. I believe this new game is a much better fit to the new mobile paradigm, but worry not, the heroes are coming back soon, and they'll be better than ever!
